ELECTION: AUGUST PRIMARY ELECTION TUESDAY AUGUST 9, 2022.
The August primary elections will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022. All registered voters may request an Absentee Ballot and can also request to be put on our Permanent Absentee Voter List without providing a reason. To request a ballot, please contact me, Vivian Sikowski at (810)765-1145 ext. 207. Once you are on the Permanent Absentee List you will receive an application to vote before each Election. Fill out the application and return it to the Township if you would like to receive your ballot via mail. If you do not fill out the application, we presume you will be voting in person on election day.
The last day to request an Absentee Ballot is Monday August 8, 2022 before 4 PM, but you must come into the hall and complete the paperwork, and complete your ballot in the hall at that time.
Please feel free to use our drop box for the Absentee Ballots, it is checked twice a day. Absentee ballots must arrive at the Township before 8 PM on the day of Election. The mail does take some time, so if it is getting to be close to August 9, 2022, we strongly encourage using the drop box anytime or dropping off your ballot during our new lobby hours. ALL APPLICATIONS AND RETURNED BALLOTS ARE KEPT IN A SECURE LOCATION.
Please remember that township offices will be closed for regular business on all election days.
I will be available the Saturday before the election at the township hall from 8-4 August 6, 2022.
If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 810-765-1145, ex. 207. If I don’t answer I will call you back within 24 hours.
